Tesla, the renowned electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer led by CEO Elon Musk, is making significant strides toward establishing a presence in the Indian market. The company has finalized plans to inaugurate its first showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), marking a pivotal moment in India’s automotive landscape.
Mumbai showroom details
Tesla is all set to come in INDIA by announcing its first showroom of 4000 square feet on the ground floor of a commercial tower in BKC. The lease agreement, spanning five years, stipulates a monthly rent of around ₹35 lakh, positioning it among the highest commercial lease rates in the country.
Delhi showroom details
Along with Mumbai showroom Tesla is actively working on its another showroom in New-Delhi securing 4000 square feet in Aero city, near the Indira Gandhi International Airport, with a monthly rent of approximately ₹25 lakh.
Strategic Market Entry
These developments come on the heels of a meeting between Elon Musk and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, signaling Tesla’s renewed commitment to the Indian market. Recently, Tesla has posted job openings for 13 positions in Mumbai and Pune, covering roles in customer service, operations, and sales.
