Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled the BE 6, a cutting-edge electric SUV designed to strengthen its position in India's burgeoning EV market. This vehicle combines advanced technology with a sleek design, offering consumers a compelling choice in the electric SUV segment.
The BE 6 is available in three distinct variants:
- Pack One: Priced at ₹18.90 lakh, this base model features a 59kWh battery, delivering an ARAI-certified range of 556 km.
- Pack Three: The top-tier variant is priced at ₹26.90 lakh and is equipped with a 79kWh battery, offering an impressive ARAI-certified range of 682 km.
Performance and Charging
- Battery and Motor: The 59kWh battery in Pack One powers a 231hp motor, while the 79kWh battery in Pack Three supports a 281hp motor, both delivering 380Nm of torque. The BE 6 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
- Charging Options: Mahindra offers two AC charging options: an 11.2kW charger that fully charges the 79kWh battery in 8 hours and the 59kWh battery in 6 hours, and a 7.3kW charger that charges the 79kWh battery in 11.7 hours and the 59kWh battery in 8.7 hours. Additionally, the BE 6 supports 175kW DC fast charging, enabling a 20% to 80% charge in just 20 minutes.
Interior and Features
The BE 6 boasts a driver-centric interior with dual 12.3-inch floating screens for instrumentation and entertainment, running on Mahindra’s Artificial Intelligence Architecture (MAIA). The top-spec models include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-colour lighting, auto park assist, electronic parking brake, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, ambient lighting, powered driver’s seat with memory function, 5G connectivity with in-built Wi-Fi, over-the-air updates, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 360-degree cameras, and seven airbags.
